International Women’s Day 2025

Today, we came together to celebrate International Women’s Day 2025, honoring the incredible women who make Primeline Group the thriving, diverse, and innovative company it is. It was a day filled with inspiration, reflection, and empowerment as we highlighted the importance of women in logistics and beyond.

Our agenda was as follows:

Leadership Talks: Our inspiring women leaders from across Primeline shared their incredible career journeys, offering wisdom and motivation to the team.

Diversity in Action: Our Chief People Officer Nikki Mullin and our Operations Director Keith Haugh discussed the vital role women play in shaping the future of logistics and Primeline.

Commitment to Equality: Our CEO, Tim Cummins, reaffirmed Primeline’s dedication to equal opportunity, a value at the heart of everything we do.

Colleague Voices: We watched heartfelt videos from colleagues across our units, sharing what IWD means to them and what inspires them every day as women.

The theme of the day was Limitless – a reminder that there are no boundaries to what women can achieve. At Primeline, we’re proud to champion diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity, not just today but every day.

Sabrina Carpenter Fragrances – Official Ireland Launch

This week, our health and beauty division, Prestige, pulled off an incredible launch for Sabrina Carpenter Fragrances with Scent Beauty, Inc. at the 3Arena, perfectly timed with two sold out concerts!

The launch was celebrated by delivering an unforgettable experience that deeply resonated with both fans and social media influencers:

We hosted a stunning dinner in the gibson hotel with Irish influencers, reaching an audience of over 6 million people.

Two 40ft Primeline trailers wrapped in Sweet Tooth imagery circled the 3Arena on both nights, turning heads and giving fans a great photo opp!

Our team hit the ground running with Promogroup Ireland digibikes and sampling activations, engaging directly with the target audience.

Over the two days more than 3,000 samples were placed in the hands of the core audience.

This activation was a massive success for the Prestige team and it was fantastic to see such high levels of participation across both nights. Well done to all involved 🙌

LEED

Primeline Group – LEED Gold & Silver Certification

We are extremely proud to announce that we successfully achieved LEED Gold and Silver certifications for our two newly built warehouses 12E and 12F which have a combined area of over 360,000 sq. feet! A huge thanks to our sustainability partners Lawler Sustainability for their guidance and support in achieving these certifications.

At Primeline, we believe it’s our responsibility to protect the planet while also benefitting our customers and communities. By enhancing supply chain efficiency and implementing sustainable solutions, we strive to minimise waste and reduce our environmental impact.

Together with our customers, we work towards reducing emissions, investing in renewable energy, and minimising waste generation.

Primeline has set ambitious environmental targets and the LEED certification brings us one step closer to achieving these.

What is LEED Certification?

  • LEED certification stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. It is a globally recognised certification system for buildings and projects that demonstrate sustainable practices, energy efficiency, and environmental responsibility.

Main Challenges

  • Lowering operational energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Enhancing water efficiency in a high-usage industrial environment.
  • Promoting the use of sustainable building materials.
  • Meeting rigorous LEED certification standards while adhering to budgetary and timeline constraints.

Our Approach

Sustainable Sites

  • The site located in Ashbourne leveraged proximity to key transportation networks, minimizing travel distances and emissions.
  • Construction activity pollution prevention was performed while also ensuring there was an active reduction in light pollution on site.

Energy & Atmosphere

  • High-efficiency HVAC systems and LED lighting installed throughout both warehouses.
  • Inclusion of rooftop solar panels on both warehouses, generating renewable energy onsite.
  • Installation of high-performance insulation and energy-efficient glazing to reduce temperature control demands.

Indoor Environmental Quality

  • Use of low-VOC (volatile organic compound) paints, adhesives, and building materials to optimise indoor air quality.
  • Implementation of a ventilation system that exceeds ASHRAE standards.

Water Efficiency

  • Indoor and outdoor water usage possibilities were reviewed and refined to ensure there was a reduction in water use on site.
  • Low-flow fixtures and fittings implemented in restrooms, canteens and other facilities.

Resources

  • Prioritised use of recycled and locally sourced materials during construction to lower embodied carbon.
  • Robust waste management plan ensured that over 75% of construction waste was diverted from landfills.

LEED Certification Results

The Concerted efforts yielded the following results:

Warehouse 1 (LEED Gold Certification)

    • Achieved a 40% reduction in energy consumption compared to baseline standards.
    • Generated 25% of its energy needs through solar power.
    • Reduced potable water usage by 50%, thanks to low-flow systems and water usage reduction measures.

Total points achieved: 62 – LEED Gold

Warehouse 2 (LEED Silver Certification)

    • Achieved a 30% reduction in energy consumption.
    • Reduced potable water usage by 40%.
    • Incorporated energy-efficient systems that contributed significantly to operational cost savings.

Total points achieved: 58 – LEED Silver

Lawler Sustainability provided LEED Assessor Services to ensure progress through the LEED system was monitored and reviewed in order to achieve certification.

Benefits

  • Enhanced environmental performance, reducing carbon footprint and resource consumption.
  • Long-term operational cost savings through energy and water efficiency.
  • Improved brand reputation as a sustainability leader in the logistics sector.
  • Compliance with evolving regulations and customer expectations for green practices.

Summary

Our achievement of LEED Gold and Silver certifications for our new warehouses demonstrates our forward-thinking approach to sustainable logistics. These facilities not only meet high environmental standards but also provide a competitive edge in an increasingly eco-conscious market. Primeline will continue to work with Lawler Sustainability to leverage renewable energy systems and further reduce operational emissions in line with our sustainability targets.

Jack & Jill

Primeline Donate 400 Christmas Gift-Boxes to Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation

Spreading Christmas Magic with The Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation 🎄

This week, we proudly teamed up with The Printed Image to add an extra bit of Christmas magic for the families supported by The Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation.

For those unfamiliar, The Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation is a nationwide charity that provides vital in-home nursing care and respite support for children up to the age of six with severe to profound cognitive delays. Their work supports families navigating incredibly challenging circumstances, including caring for children with brain injuries, genetic diagnoses, cerebral palsy, or undiagnosed conditions.

A critical part of their work is offering end-of-life care for children up to the age of six, regardless of their diagnosis. Families often describe their service as the gift of time – time to take a breath, do the everyday things that others might take for granted, and make precious memories with their loved ones.

At Primeline Group, Primeline Express, and The Printed Image, we were honored to support this amazing cause by packing and delivering nearly 400 boxes of goodies to families this Christmas. Each box was filled with items designed to bring smiles, joy, and a bit of festive cheer during what can often be a difficult time of year.

Once packed and sealed, the boxes made their way to Ashbourne where they were sorted and delivered to doorsteps all over the country, just in time for Christmas 🚛🎅

A huge thank you to everyone involved in bringing this project to life! Your hard work and generosity has made a real difference to so many families.

Check out the video below to see the magic in action!

Primeline Group Acquires Global Cargo Solutions (GCS)

Primeline Group has taken a majority shareholding in Global Cargo Solutions (GCS), which is based in Northern Ireland. The deal allows Primeline Group to further expand its existing business network in Northern Ireland, the UK and Europe and to benefit from having access to an experienced management team in Northern Ireland.

GCS was founded in 2016 and provides full-load freight between the UK and Ireland as well as bespoke logistics solutions using specialised equipment. The family-run business employs 100 people and runs a fleet of 80 trucks across its depots in Northern Ireland and in Burton-on-Trent in England.

Primeline Group currently employs over 900 colleagues and has its headquarters in Ashbourne, Co Meath. Its fleet makes over 10,000 deliveries to more than 7500 outlets around Ireland each week.  The Group has developed its logistics network to ensure it covers every town in Ireland every day.

CEO of Primeline Group Tim Cummins says the GCS acquisition is an excellent move for the company: “The GCS team runs a profitable business that’s become a leading provider of freight solutions across a really impressive network of customers. Integrating their fleet of trucks and 200 trailers will be a real asset to the continued growth of our business. Although GCS is a relatively new company, we know that its founder Andy has a lifetime of experience in the sector and that has been key to its success so far. I’m delighted we’ve reached agreement and look forward to working together to build on their success to date”.

MD of GCS Andrew J Woolsey says the agreement is a positive one for his team too: “I set out to build a customer-driven business, providing people with professional, tailor-made transport options. Through the hard work and dedication of our team – including several of my own family members – we have achieved that and more. GCS has delivered over 200,000 loads in its lifetime and thanks to this deal with Primeline Group, our valued customers will continue to benefit from a service that respects them and cares for their goods. I’m also happy that  our staff can be reassured that we’re part of a larger team which has values that align with our own and puts us in a great position to grow further”.

Another benefit of the deal for Primeline Group is the in-house customs clearance that GCS operates. GCS currently process declarations for GB to NI, GB to ROI and ROI to GB deliveries. Primeline can use this to further improve their integral logistics network by minimising delays and errors in navigating the complexities of customs procedures. By handling this process internally, Primeline can ensure direct control over acquiring and managing essential procedures for cross-border movements.
